"Ratemytrade" help me?
Ratemytrade is an easy and simple way in which you can locate skilled
professionals within your local area. It is a quick and assuring way to
find the right professional for the job you require. Simply enter details
of your project, along with the maximum amount your willing to pay. Once
you have posted your details onto the site, professionals will quote you
a competitive price in order to earn your business, you can view each
professional who bids on your project and check their profile and ratings
score from previous customers.
How much does this service cost?
The service is free for you, it is the professionals that pay us a monthly
fee to receive details for work they choose, but when working with us
this means that professionals spend less on marketing.
How do I post a project?
Posting a project is free. Once your project has been posted you will
get a number of competitive quotes, check the professionals profile, feedback
and previous projects completed before selecting them as a wining bidder.
You have no obligation to hire so don't be afraid to search around first.
You can post a project simply by clicking the "post project" button
allocated on the top corner of any page, then describe your project
for us. Just let us know your budget, what you'd like to get done and
when you'd like the professional to start.
How do I contact a Professional?
There are two ways in which you can contact a professional,
- Invite to Bid, by inviting one or more professionals
to place a quote on a new existing project. (Invites only projects)

Asking questions, don't be afraid to ask the professionals
questions you may have simply use the "Quick Question" button allocated
on the professionals profile page.
Why do certain professionals have different membership levels?
Certain professionals have membership levels with a higher monetary value.
This allows them to bid on more projects and use more features of Ratemytrade.

How do I select a bid?
The best way of choosing a professional is by comparing the bids you received and how quickly you need the job doing.
Once you have decided on one to do the work simply go to your project manager page and click the "Select as winner" button located within each bid description.
Make sure you search around first, ask questions that you might not be sure about, make sure the professional is right for the job and has experience, if possible ask for references.
If you want a professionals full profile details of skills and qualities simply click the "view profile/contact info" link next to the professional's bid description.
What is a project agreement?
We strongly recommend you use a project agreement it is a service that you will have the option to request, it is a written agreement
of the job description, milestones, the start date, the duration the price that has been agreed between both you and the professional.
The agreement should be completed before any work begins. This is so that you and the professional have both agreed on details and so
it does not cause any complications later. Both you and the professional should agree to all the details written and should both print
and sign a copy.
What is feedback and how is it calculated?
The feedback page is to be completed after the project is complete, both the client and professional have the option to rate each other,
by leaving feedback ratings and written comments, this is so other clients can read what experiences they have had with that certain
professional. Remember good and bad comments give other potential clients feedback, so if you had a good experience or bad you can let
other people know.
How will you use my personal information?
All personal information will be private and kept confidential. We do not share information with third parties and we'll only contact

Professionals
I want to get paid for my skills. How does "Ratemytrade" help me?
Ratemytrade gives you the professional the opportunity to show clients yours skills of expertise. We automatically notify
you of any new project in your areas of expertise, then it is up to you to bid on the ones you are interested in. after the
client selects your bid, you can choose to accept and complete the work. Once all work is complete, both you and your client
will give feedback.
How much does this service cost?
We offer three packages in which you can choose from. Two have a fee to cover administration and service cost. The three packages,
- Starter, membership is free, this is a basic package.

RMT trader, fees range from £79.99 per quarter to149.99 per year.

RMT master, fees range from £99.99 per quarter to £199.99 per year.
Our efficient online system lets us keep costs to a minimum.
How and when do I get paid?
Depending on the agreement made by both parties on many occasions the professionals are paid cash on site once the project
is complete.
It is recommended that you create the online project agreement. This identifies the project in detail, and also the
expectations required. This gives bother parties the information they require before starting a job so there is not
disagreement later.
How do I create my first profile?
Before you start bidding on projects you must create a profile. Once you have completed your first profile, you can then
post up to five profiles, in your different areas of expertise. When you post a profile, you start off with the Starter
membership which allows you to start up your online trade. Each profile can be upgraded to either RMT Trader or RMT Master
memberships.
Simply click "register" button which is located at the top of each page, click on your area of expertise that best describes your
profession. When creating your profile, write information which you think will be relevant to you client i.e. what you'd like to do.
Summarize, highlight and market your skills and your rate per hour, this gives potential clients a lot of information about what sort
of work areas you expertise in. DO NOT INCLUDE CONTACT INFORMATION OR URLS, this is a violation of our [user agreement] and will result
in suspension. Your contact information will be released to all clients that you place a bid with.
How do I find projects?
Once a company/individual lists their project with us, professionals with the same main category and location will be
emailed a project notification. Professionals can also search for a project within the search section located by clicking
"clients" on the main navigation bar.
How do I submit a Quote?
We advise that you read all projects carefully before you submit a quote, then make sure that your skills/expertise
match the project. After that make sure any questions or concerns you may have of the client can be addressed. It also
helps to make each proposal description individualistic and geared to each project as closely as possible.
How do I know if my bid was the winning bid?
Your bid will be shown under the connected section within your admin. You will also receive an email with confirmation that you have been chosen.
What is a Project Agreement?
You will have the option to request a Project Agreement, this is just a written record of a project description.
This agreement gives details of the start date, how long the work will take to complete and the price that has been agreed.
The project agreement should be done before any work begins and we recommend that details should be complete before any of
the work begins, this is to prevent any complications later. Make sure both the professional and yourself sign the document
and both parties have a copy.
What is feedback and how is it calculated?
The feedback section is completed at the end when the project is finished. Once completed the client and the professional have the opportunity to rate each other by leaving feedback rating and written feedback comments.
